She has performed Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro with the Vienna State Opera, Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman. She performed Rosina in The Barber of Seville with the Zurich Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro Real Madrid, Staatsoper Berlin and Canadian Opera Company. She has performed La Cenerentola in Paris, Valencia, Buenos Aires, Rome, Vienna and Naples, among others. Other roles include Ruggiero in Alcina in Dresden and Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi in Oviedo. Appearances this season include Dorabella in Naples, Cherubino in Florence, and both Dorabella and Cherubino in Hamburg.

In the shortened 2019/20 season, he performed Almaviva with Teatro Massimo di Palermo, appeared in Rossini’s Adina with Wexford Festival Opera and performed Ramiro in La Cenerentola with both Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Highlights of recent seasons include Escamillo in Carmen with Seattle Opera, Malatesta in Don Pasquale at La Monnaie in Brussels, Marcello in La Bohème with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Don Geronio in The Turk in Italy with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Figaro with Minnesota Opera and Papageno with the Mostly Mozart Festival. His discography includes a solo recital for the EMI Debut Series and an album of Rachmaninov songs with pianist Iain Burnside. Later this season, he will perform Prince Yeletsky in The Queen of Spades with the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.

Career highlights: He has performed in all of the world’s major opera houses. He began the current season performing Don Magnifico in Tokyo after summer performances of Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte with Glyndebourne Festival Opera. His future appearances include a return to La Scala (where he debuted in 1989) as Michonnet in Adriana Lecouvreur and a Rossini gala with the Vienna State Opera. His most recent performances include Bartolo in The Barber of Seville with La Scala, the title role in Cimarosa’s monodrama Il Maestro di Cappella with the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, Italy, Don Magnifico at the Vienna State Opera, as well as concerts with the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and at the Arena di Verona. His many Metropolitan Opera appearances include La Cenerentola, L’Italiana in Algeri, L’Elisir d’Amore and Gianni Schicchi.

Career highlights: He is particularly renowned for the Mozart roles of Figaro, Count Almaviva, Leporello and Don Giovanni. In recent years he has added the great Verdi roles of Attila, King Philip in Don Carlo and Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra, as well as Henry VIII in Anna Bolena and Méphistophélès in both Faust and La Damnation de Faust to his repertoire. He has appeared at the Vienna State Opera, Salzburg Festival, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, La Scala, Teatro Real Madrid and Metropolitan Opera and the Salzburg Festival. Later this season, he will perform Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro with Opéra National de Paris and the title role of Don Pasquale with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

LA Opera: Mrs. Naidoo in Satyagraha (2018, debut); roles including Musetta in La Bohème (2019); First Lady in The Magic Flute (2019); Thetis/Breeze/Eurydice in The Death of Orpheus (2020); title role in Eurydice (2020); Shepherd in Tannhäuser (2021). She was a member of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program (2018-20).
Career highlights: In the 2020/21 season, she joined the International Opera Studio at the Zürich Opera House. Her roles there this season include Zerlina in Don Giovanni and two roles in Wolfgang Mitterer’s The Brave Little Tailor. Previous engagements include performing songs by Korngold and Schreker at the Bard Music Festival and her role debut as Pamina in The Magic Flute with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, she was an Apprentice Singer at Santa Fe Opera. She has appeared in The Maid of Orleans, Jeanne d’arc au bûcher and The Dwarf with Odyssey Opera in Boston.

LA Opera: mainstage debut, after appearances as Aurora/Calliope in The Death of Orpheus (2020) and Jeannette in The Anonymous Lover (2020). She has been a member of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program since 2019.
Career highlights: In 2019, she sang the title role of Carmen in Xalapa. She studied at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. She has performed in renowned theaters in Mexico including the Palacio de Bellas Artes, where she sang Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore, Maddalena in Il Viaggio a Reims, and Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor. Other roles include Amastre in Xerxes with Oberlin in Italy, Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana with Mexico’s National Conservatory, and both Baucis in Haydn’s Philemon und Baucis and Rosita in Derbez’s La Creciente at the Festival Internacional Cervantino with Estudio Ópera de Bellas Artes, where she was a resident artist (2014-16).
